No Peripheral Vision Means Trouble

Living by human nature is like living without peripheral vision. Circumstances or Satan come along to whack us upside the head, and only if we have God can we avoid being hit.

Amen sister, and as we yield towards our flesh, it will lead us the way which where God wants to lead us, unless we die to our flesh and follow the Holy Spirit. The bible says that God the Lord is a Shepard who is willing to lay down His life, out of love to save His sheep, and if we are willing and obedient, we’ll eat the best of the land. Furthermore because we can’t serve two masters. We have to despise one and serve another, either God or something else. The bible says God is the only one who knows the best way and loves us and is faithful, and if only we entrust Him with our all, we can then follow Him. Though it’s never an easy thing to put our trust on God, but there is no other way, and without faith, it is impossible to please Him. Furthermore, following God and keeping our eyes on Him can keep our focus clear (away from seeing the waves that will weaken our faith, or believing in the lies of the enemy), and our faith not shaken because walking with God can never be easy, neither is it trouble free, it can even be costly. But as we continue to put our faith in Him and endure to the very end, we will be “saved”, even if we may die mortally out of following Him, our Spirit will be with Him. In the end, it will a choice that we have to make, either to trust Him and obey Him whole heartedly regardless of the cost like Job, or to not trust Him and trust ourselves, or another to lead us.

In Him,

Isaiah 1:19 (New International Version)
If you are willing and obedient,
you will eat the best from the land;

James 1:12
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Luke 6:46-50 (New International Version)
The Wise and Foolish Builders
"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete."

James 4:4-8 (New International Version)
You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely? But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
"God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble."

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Hi Lawrence,

Amen... we do have a choice to make regarding whether we serve God or something else. And of course we both know the right choice to make, because God has our good in mind, and will bring glory to His name in the end if we'll just trust Him. Again, thanks for stopping by. Take care.
