The Glory He Brings

We know God wants what is best for each of us, not just because of His character, but because of His promise and desire to bring glory to His name. How would glory be brought in a holy way if God allowed bad things to happen to His people for no reason, or if He failed to provide for their needs? Many suffer around the world, yet those who trust God are content knowing Him - even if perchance there's little food to eat or water to drink, their eternity is secure. That eternal security and the contentment it brings is the ultimate glory God brings to Himself through us, His beloved children.

Dear sister,

As human's we always tend to rely on understanding things in human ways. We need to see to believe. When bad things occur to us and God doesn’t seem to be there, our flesh tends to question God, to doubt, or even to react in a human way. Continuing to believe in God despite the bad circumstances requires faith, and it cannot be done by our own fleshly effort. We need to rely on Him who is faithful to help us believe in Him, and His Words of promises, His nature as stated in the Bible and all…How do we know that all of God’s plan is good, or better, how do we know that He is a good God after all? The Bible says so, and how can we trust the Bible? With God’s help, as there isn’t any other way besides this. We need to confess our problems of trusting Him, and ask for His help in helping us do so. God is faithful to help our unbelief as such case has occurred in biblical times.

In Him,

Mark 9:23-24 (New King James Version)
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe,[a] all things are possible to him who believes.”
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

As for continuing to trust Him and willing to do so (and to live for Him) even when it will cost us much on earth, that requires a great faith in God, our primary focus be on Heavenly things, Heavenly perspective and ultimately the first love for God. Apostle Paul counted everything he earned (achievements, merits, wealth, recognition, earthly glory) rubbish/ loss in comparison to knowing Jesus and being with Him, and ultimately being like Him.

Philippians 3:7-16 (New International Version)
But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Pressing on Toward the Goal
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

It is easy to not love God as our first love but other things, although we know that He is God. It has happened to me, and I’ve confessed to the Lord. Anyway, I will not continue here….

In Him,
~Lawrence~
